January Newsletter, 2019

January 2019 Happy 2019! It hardly seems like a year has gone by already, and yet here we are, opening our eyes to a brand new year in our lives, full of so many positive possibilities.  This Christmas we donated books to the library; wrote Christmas cards to our soldiers who are in service to our country; donated food to the food bank; and  bought 36 plus gifts for 9 teens at MY Friends Place a shelter for homeless teens in Kennewick.  Thanks to all who donated and/or participated in buying, wrapping and delivering. A few shots from Sunday, December 23rd This coming Sunday, we will be celebrating World Peace meditation during Sunday Service.  Come see the mindfulness that Donny Anderson has created for you.  10 for the pre-service meditation, and 10:30 for the Peace Meditation. Bring something on peace that you would like to read, or look through the selections that are brought fo...

December Newsletter

SEASONS GREETINGS! During the holidays it is nice to remember people in your neighborhood who could use a little cheer as well as family and friends.  Also, Christmas tithes to the center are greatly appreciated. Our holiday decorating went well, and we have addressed about 100 Christmas cards to both service personnel and a local senior living facility.  We will be adopting 8 kids at My Friends Place this year, and their wish list should come to us some time next week. They are also in need of some winter wear, so if you have some lightly used, warm weather clothing, bring it on down to the center. We are also contributing to the food bank, so start bringing those non-perishable cans and boxes down to the center. Candle Lighting Service will take place on Friday, December 21st at 7:00, at the Center, and our World Peace celebration will be on Sunday, December 30, during Sunday Service. December Theme: Happiness and Fulfillment Lesso...

November 2018

Our Unity Candles decorated for Autumn November 2018 Newsletter I am so thankful for every miraculous wonder in my life. The more I give thanks, the more I have to be thankful for. Happy November! Leaves are falling, the wind is blowing, and we are remembering family and friends and giving thanks for a brand new experience opening before us.  We have culled our library downstairs so that we now have an entirely metaphysical library.  The books that we are giving away need boxes to make their move to a new space.  If you have some, please bring them with you to church on Sunday or drop them off during office hours, Monday and Thursday from 12-2.                                                 Youth Church is now every fourth Sunday of the month.  Rev. Sandy is hosting these sessions, and practitioners ar...

October 2018

October 2018 Newsletter [I cross boundaries. I claim the power to go beyond.] Happy October! The signs of autumn are upon us: leaves turning their magnificent golds and reds, squirrels scampering on the telephone wires, and warmer wraps coming out of storage. It’s time to come together and share our positive passionate selves with one another. Make it a month of Sundays! The Northwest Annual Rally in Eugene was fabulous. Wonderful speakers, each sharing their own Hero’s Journey . The message from all was one of inclusivity, how the little things we do for one another can make all the difference. The music rocked; it was sort of like a mini-concert with inspiring talks sprinkled in. Mark it as a must for next year. When I have the date for next year, I will share it. Event: Sacred Healing Workshop When: This coming Saturday, October 6, 10:30-1:30. What: A workshop. · Explore hidden beliefs · Gain clarity in things that are challenging · Move...
